I have always had a strong commitment to professional development  and  continuing education. While the barriers to a career in the real estate  industry are low, the dynamic nature of the industry and the body of law  around it mean that the threshold for excellence is very high.

I have earned the following professional designations:
 

■ Achieved the National Association of Realtors GREEN designation. This designation provides real estate professionals with the knowledge and awareness of green building principles applied in residences, commercial properties, developments, and communities so that they can list, market, and manage green properties as well as guide buyer-clients, in purchasing green homes and buildings.
 

■ Received the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, which requires advanced study in core Realtor competencies such as listing, selling, pricing, and marketing with a  specific emphasis on residential properties. Only 25,000 of more than 1.2 Million Realtors have earned this designation.
 

■ Earned the Accredited Buyer's Representative  (ABR) designation, which requires specialized  course-work emphasizing  the legal and ethical aspects of buyer-representation. Fewer  than 3.5% licensed agents nationwide possess this designation.
 

■  Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), a program designed to provide a broad base of knowledge in areas such as environmental law, tax implications of real estate transactions, land-use policies, and commercial property.
 

■ Certified in Historic Maryland Properties, a designation that reflects expertise in Maryland preservation & environmental policies.
 

■ Earned the Senior's Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation by taking  the SRES course designed and conferred by  the Real Estate Buyer's  Agent Council of the National Association of  REALTORS®.
